7th grade exam outline
7th Graders,
Here is your exam outline. We will be reviewing in class Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you have any questions over the weekend, post them here and I will do my best to answer them. We will be reviewing cell structure and Punnett Squares on Tuesday.

Hi Mr. K. I was wondering which glands we have to to study. Also, do we have to know what all the sensory organs do (ex. tongue, eye, ect.) and do we have to know about the parts of the brain? What do we have to know about the spinal cord?

Just Making Sure!

Climate Change Stopper,
Those are good questions.
1) ENDOCRINE GLANDS – I don’t have my textbook at home so I can’t tell you the exact page number, but there is a 2 page chart that outlines the major organs of the endocrine system. Know each of these (their names and what they do; not their locations).
2) NERVOUS SYSTEM ORGANS – Know the three main parts of the brain and what they do. Other than that, do not worry about parts of nervous system organs (like the eye and ear). You will need to know all of the sensory organs and their function but not their sub-parts.
3) SPINAL CORD – Know that it is part of the CNS and that it is primarily interneurons. Be able to describe its role in transmitting a nerve impulse.

Hope,
Hope this helps (sorry I couldn’t resist).
You should study your charts (notes) but you will not have to reproduce them. The chart that outlines the endocrine glands and their functions would a good one to study. Also study the cell organelle chart/diagram.

sorry i keep asking questions but when we compare and contrast animal and plant cells… what do we say? i know there are different organelles and everything like that but is there anything more specific or significant???

Regan,
1) I will not be sneaking any short answer/essay questions onto the exam. I promise.
2) The main difference is how they obtain energy. also, look at organelle differences.

Hey Mr. Kremer,
For the 11 systems of the body, are we going to have to list them or just know what each one does?
Thanks,
Natalie

If we need to know the DNA bases, Anjali, they’re adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. Just remember the beginnings by Thyade and Cytogua (or Thyadecytogua). That’s how I remember them. Also, remember that A’s with T, and C’s with G. Emma told me to remember the C and G by how they’re both, like, half-circles.
Sorry this is confusing and perhaps useless. Just thought I’d post what I use.

Yeah. Most of the test is multiple choice so I dont really think that we are going to need to remember stuff as specific as that. Correct me if Im wrong.
