    Excretory (Urinary) System

The excretory sytem is one of 11 systems of the human body. Its job is to eliminate wastes and keep balance between water and other chemicals in the body.

The major organs of the expository system are as follows:
-Bladder: sends information to the brain
-Urethra: carries urine from the bladder to the outside
-Kidney: eliminates urea, excess water, and other waste

To protect your excretory system, you must drink a lot of water, keep a healthy diet, and get a check-up from a doctor on a normal basis.

There are two different kinds of muscles that are inside us. These are the smooth muscles, skeletal muscles, and cardiac muscles. The smooth muscles are involuntary muscles that are found on the inside of the organs. These muscles control a lot of the actions that occur inside of your body. Skeletal muscles are attached to your skeleton. These are voluntary muscles and they move the skeleton. The last type of muscle, known as the cardiac muscle, this muscle is found inside the heart and powers it. It is also involuntary and never get tired.

Ways that you could protect these vital muscles are to stretch before exercising and to wear protective gear while participating in sports. Be careful while using dangerous items, or stay away from them, because they may slice of harm your muscles in some way. Thankyou! :)

    The Circulatory System
The circulatory system consists of the heart, blood vessels (veins, arteries, and capillaries), and blood. It carries needed substances to cells and carries waste products away from cells. Each time the heart beats it pumps blood through the blood vessels and distributes it throughout the body. The arteries carry used blood to the heart and the veins carry new blood away from the heart. The major artery of the heart is the aorta.
A human heart has two ventricles, the right ventricle and the left ventricle. The right ventricle pumps oxygen poor blood to the lungs. The left ventricle pumps oxygen rich blood to all parts of the body. The human heart also consists of two atria. The right atrium receives blood from the body and sends it to the right ventricle. The left atrium receives oxygen rich- blood from the lungs and sends it to the left ventricle. Every heart has a valve. a valve is a flap of tissue that prevents blood in each chamber of the heart from flowing backward.

    The Digestive System
    By Lilly and Susannah

The digestive system serves to store and digest food, moves nutrients into the body, gets rid of waste, breaks down protein, and absorbs water. Many organs contribute to this process. Food is ingested through the oral cavity. The salivary glands help to break it down, and then the food enters the esophagus. The esophagus serves as a transporter for the food items. It carries the food to the stomach. The stomach kills bacteria and breaks the food down into smaller pieces to make digestion easier. It is an extremely acidic environment. The small intestine follows the stomach in the digestive system and is where the majority of the digestion occurs. This is where digestion is completed and much nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream. The large intestine holds liquids emptied into it by the small intestine. It serves to absorb water and electrolytes and eliminate solid waste from the body. The cycle continues to repeat itself as more food is ingested.

    the skeletal system

The skeletal system provides shape the body, protects the organs, provides support, enables you to move, produces blood cells, stores certain materials until your body needs them. It is made up of 206 bones working together to help your body function. Your bones are very different in shape and size. Some are small like your phalanges and some are big like your femur. Some of the most important bones are the skull, the femur, the vertebrae and the rib cage. Your bones have an outer membrane on the outside and the inside is a soft material called marrow. Ways to protect and strengthen your bones are to always wear a seat belt, always wear a helmet when riding bikes, skateboards etc. drink and eat lots of milk, yogurt and cheese because they have lots of calcium, and eat well and healthfully.

We did research on the respiratory system. The respiratory system is used to ventilate the body. The ventilation is necessary for the passage of air(i.e. breathing) and sweat and cooling of the body. To protect the respiratory system, you must wash your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes, prevent pollution, don’t smoke and exercise.
Some major organs in the respiratory system are nasal cavities (moistens and heats the oxygen), pharynx (the throat; an air passage), larynx (causes vibrations [voices]), trachea (another air passage to the rest of the body), lungs (the main organ; causes ventilation), bronchi (directs the air into the lungs), and cluster of alveoli (allows movement of air and blood). These organs were isted in order from top to bottom. The largest of these organs is the nasal cavities, and the smallest is the pharnyx.

Our system is the Lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system’s main purpose is to fight disease. It sends white blood cells and lymphs into your blood stream to help secure it. It’s kind of like your bodies police system. Some important organs are the lymph nodes and the liver.

    The Integumentary System-
Function- The Integumentary System retains fluid, eliminates waste products, and retains the temperature of the body.
Parts Of- Skin: Protects and cushions the body’s organs. Hair: Forms an insulated coat on the body, and keeps out coarse dust particles. Nails: Aid in grasping objects and protect the sensitive tissue on the tips of fingers and toes. Subaceous Glands: Release oils into the base of hair so skin doesn’t dry out. During puberty, a rise in sex hormones causes more oils than needed to be released into the skin which causes acne.
Ways to protect: Take short, warm (not hot) showers and limit your soap usage to keep skin with proper amounts of moisture. Put healthy amount of sunscreen on everyday, to protect from sunburn and possible SKIN CANCER. Avoid any substances that irritate your skin to help prevent acne.

The urinary system is the system of the body that collects waste and removes it from the body. This process is known as excretion. The major organs in the urinary system are the urethra, the kidneys, ureters, and the urinary bladder. The urethra is the tube the urine flows through. The kidneys eliminate excess water, urea, and other waste materials. The ureters carry the urine to the urinary bladder. The urinary bladder is a sack like muscular organ that stores urine. Ways to protect your urinary system are stay hydrated and eat a healthy diet. It is also called the excretory system.

We researched the circulatory system. The circulatory system contains the heart, blood vessels and much needed blood to certain systems. It also takes waste filled blood away from cells and replenishes them with oxygen. The circulatory system carries blood to organs and oxygenates the red blood cells to keep all organs functioning. To protect your circulatory system you shouldn’t eat any foods with too much fat, salt, or cholesterol. You also shouldn’t smoke because this affects the oxygen in your blood flow.

These are the organs that are most involved in the circulatory system:

    Heart Pumps the Blood

    Blood Carries oxygen to organs

    Blood Vessels Carries blood

Lungs Pick up oxygen in blood and eliminate carbon dioxide

    The Digestive System

The Digestive System stores, digests, and breaks down foods, breaks down proteins, absorbs water, and gets rid of waste. When foods go in the mouth, it starts a process called digestion. There are two types of digestion, chemical and mechanical. In chemical digestion, foods are broken down into smaller pieces. Chemicals produced by the body break foods into the parts that the cells specifically need.In mechanical digestion you physically break down the food. This process begins when you take the first bite into a food, your teeth start to physically break down the food. The four major organs involved in the digestive system are the large intestine, small intestine, liver, and stomach. The large intestine absorbs water from the food and eliminates the remaining material from the body. The stomach stores all of the food you eat and breaks all of it down through churning motions. The small intestine is the part of the digestive system where most chemical digestion takes place. The liver breaks down substances and eliminates nitrogen from the body.
