The magic number for Kelvin to Celsius and the other way around is 273. You either add or subtract 273. Going from Celsius to Kelvin you add 273. When you go from Kelvin to Celsius you subtract 273.

    The was I remember is:
    * C -> K is up in the alphabet so you add
    * K -> C is down in the alphabet so you subtract
